Join Our Japan Team as an HR Generalist
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our Japan office across both internal HR operations and external talent management.
This role combines employee lifecycle management, recruitment, and freelancer/vendor management to support efficient project delivery and sustainable business growth. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to strengthen hiring activities, improve HR processes, and build a high-quality external talent pool aligned with evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Management
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for internal roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Handle employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, probation follow-up, contract administration, and offboarding
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with local labor laws and company policies
- Support payroll coordination, attendance tracking, and social insurance administration
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture
Talent Community & Vendor Management
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and maintain external talents such as freelancers, linguists, testers, and vendors
- Build and maintain a scalable, high-quality talent pool aligned with business requirements
- Support vendor qualification, onboarding, and documentation management in line with company standards
- Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to allocate suitable resources based on project needs
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with freelancers and vendors
- Maintain up-to-date talent databases, including skills, availability, and performance records
- Monitor vendor performance and proactively address quality, delivery, and communication issues
- Build long-term relationships with key external talents and partners
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with operations, project management, and business development teams to understand talent needs
- Support resource planning to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
- Help balance cost, quality, and resource availability across projects
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and support execution of action plans
Talent Sourcing & Market Development
- Explore and develop new sourcing channels, including social media and professional platforms such as LinkedIn
- Stay up to date with trends in localization, gaming, and talent sourcing
- Continuously improve sourcing strategies to strengthen talent quality and pipeline efficiency
Process & Data Management
- Ensure all HR- and vendor-related data is accurately maintained in internal systems
- Support reporting and basic data analysis related to recruitment, talent pool development, and vendor performance
- Follow company processes and ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices

Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Language Studies, or a related field
- Fluent in both English and Japanese, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 years of experience in HR Generalist, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, or Resource Management roles
- Experience managing freelancers, vendors, or external talent pools is highly preferred
- Experience in the localization, gaming, or language services industry is a strong advantage
- Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment is preferred
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment and talent sourcing
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and coordinate internal and external resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of ownership
- Basic understanding of labor regulations and employment practices in Japan is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ATS or vendor management tools is a plus
