Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Play through pre-release versions of video games to identify language mistakes and cultural inconsistencies.
    • Provide detailed reports of localization errors, such as typos, grammar issues, and dialogue inaccuracies.
    • Work closely with localization teams to ensure in-game text and audio are culturally appropriate for target audiences.
    • Verify that localized content aligns with context and gameplay experience.
    • Ensure the highest quality standards while balancing adherence to tight deadlines.
    • Under certain circumstances, working at a designated office location or during specified time periods may be required

    Requirements:

    • Full proficiency in English and target language.
    • Exceptional translation or proofreading skills; candidates with a background in translation, proofreading, or language-related fields are preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of video game terminology and culture.
    • High cultural sensitivity, with the ability to identify potentially sensitive content related to culture, politics, or religion.
    • Ability to work independently, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
    • Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
    • Proficiency in transcreation (creative translation) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with games and in-game Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) testing is preferred.
    • This is a part-time position with the option for remote work.
