Role: Part-Time Game Localization Specialist [EN>KO]

As a member of our team, you will help bring immersive gaming experiences to Korean players by ensuring accurate and culturally adapted translations.

Responsibilities
  • โœ” Report and document translation errors, typos, grammar issues, cultural inaccuracies, and other localization bugs.
  • โœ” Verify contextual accuracy of in-game text (e.g., dialogues, menus, subtitles) and ensure consistency with the source content
  • โœ” Translate/MTPE/Review content accurately while preserving cultural relevance.
  • โœ” Adapt content to suit the language and culture of the target audience.
  • โœ” Play through pre-release versions of video games to identify language mistakes and cultural inconsistencies.
    โœ” Provide detailed reports of localization errors, such as typos, grammar issues, and dialogue inaccuracies.
    โœ” Work closely with localization teams to ensure in-game text and audio are culturally appropriate for target audiences.
    โœ” Verify that localized content aligns with context and gameplay experience.
    โœ” Ensure the highest quality standards while balancing adherence to tight deadlines.
  • โœ” Under certain circumstances, working at a designated office location or during specified time periods may be required.

Requirementslities:

  • โœ” Full proficiency in English and Korean.
  • โœ” Exceptional translation or proofreading skills; candidates with a background in translation, proofreading, or language-related fields are preferred.
  • โœ” Strong knowledge of video game terminology and culture.
  • โœ” High cultural sensitivity, with the ability to identify potentially sensitive content related to culture, politics, or religion.
  • โœ” Ability to work independently, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • โœ” Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • โœ” Proficiency in transcreation (creative translation) is a plus.
  • โœ” Familiarity with games and in-game Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) testing is preferred.
  • โœ” This is a part-time position with the option for remote work.
